Starting in 2022, the Korea Institute began supporting the digitalization of North Korean posters housed within the Harvard-Yenching Library collection. This endeavor gained visibility in a Spring 2023 exhibit (“[Everyday Life in North Korea: Through the Lens of Propaganda Posters](/event/everyday-life-north-korea-through-lens-propaganda-posters),” January 17 - March 30, 2023), which showcased selected items from the collection. By the end of Fiscal Year 2024, the project reached completion, resulting in the online availability of images for 507 posters ([link to HOLLIS](https://hollis.harvard.edu/primo-explore/search?query=any,exact,Korea%20Institute%20-%20Harvard-Yenching%20Library%20North%20Korean%20poster%20digitization%20project,AND&tab=everything&search_scope=everything&sortby=rank&vid=HVD2&mode=advanced&offset=0)) as part of Harvard Library’s [Research Guide for Korean Studies](https://guides.library.harvard.edu/c.php?g=310159&p=2077426). The significance of this collection is recognized and detailed further in this article ([link](https://www.harvard-yenching.org/research/a-collection-of-500-north-korean-posters/)).

This endeavor was generously supported by the Jeffrey D. and Jean K. Lee Korea Institute Fund.
